Privacy policy
Effective from:
This policy explains which personal data we process when you use sigmapromet.rs, for what purposes, how long we keep it and what rights you have. We process personal data in accordance with the Serbian Law on Personal Data Protection ("Official Gazette of RS", No. 87/2018). The webshop (shop.sigmapromet.rs) has a separate privacy policy for orders. In case of any discrepancy, the Serbian version prevails.

What data we process and why
Contact form
When you send a message through the contact form or an enquiry from a product page, we process your name, e-mail address, phone number (if you give it) and the content of your message.
- Purpose: to answer your enquiry and, if you wish, to prepare an offer or delivery.
- Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries.
- How: the message is e-mailed to the staff who handle enquiries, and you receive an automatic confirmation. The site does not store the message in a database.
- How long: we keep the correspondence in our business e-mail for as long as it is needed to answer and work with you, or as long as the rules on keeping business records require.
Providing the data is voluntary, but without your name, e-mail address and message we cannot reply.
Job applications (Careers)
When you apply through the Careers page, we process your name, e-mail address, phone number (if given), expected salary, cover letter and the data in the CV you attach.
- Purpose: selecting candidates for the advertised position or, for an open application, for future positions.
- Legal basis: your consent, given by ticking the box in the form, and steps taken at your request before entering into an employment contract. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- How: the CV is not stored on the website — it is e-mailed, as an attachment, to the staff in charge of selection. The site database keeps only the form details (without the CV) to track the selection. You receive an automatic confirmation.
- How long: until the selection ends and at most 12 months after you apply; then the application and CV are deleted. The data of a candidate who is hired becomes part of their personnel file.
Providing the data is voluntary, but without your name, e-mail, expected salary and CV we cannot consider the application.
E-mail and phone
If you e-mail or call us directly, we use the data from that communication in the same way and on the same basis as data from the contact form.
Technical data when you visit
On every visit the server running the site records technical data sent by your browser: IP address, time of the visit, the page requested, and browser and operating system type. This is needed for the site to work, to keep it secure and to detect errors and abuse (legitimate interest). We do not use it to identify you. Server logs are kept for a limited time, according to our hosting provider's settings, and then deleted.
Analytics and advertising
The site does not use visitor analytics, advertising cookies, tracking pixels or profiling.
Cookies
The site uses only cookies that are necessary for it to work, for example to protect the contact form against abuse. These do not require your consent. Details are in the Cookie policy.
Third-party content: Google Maps and YouTube
The map on the contact page (Google) and the videos on product pages (YouTube, in privacy-enhanced mode) load only when you click them. Until then your browser does not contact Google or YouTube, except that video thumbnails are fetched from Google's image server (i.ytimg.com), which sees your IP address. Once you start a map or a video, Google or YouTube processes data under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy), and data may be transferred outside Serbia.
Form protection: Cloudflare Turnstile
To stop automated (robot) messages, the contact, product enquiry and job application forms use Cloudflare Turnstile. It loads only on the pages with those forms and checks that a person is sending the form, usually without you having to do anything. For this, Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical data about your browser and device, and may use your browser's local storage. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the form from abuse. Cloudflare processes this data under its own privacy policy (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy), and it may be transferred outside Serbia.
Who may have access to the data
- authorised Sigma Promet staff, only as far as their work requires;
- our hosting and e-mail providers, who process data on our behalf and are bound to confidentiality;
- Cloudflare, for the anti-spam check on the site's forms;
- the company that maintains the site, when needed to fix problems;
- public authorities, where the law requires it.
We do not sell personal data or share it with third parties for their marketing.
Security
The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), only authorised staff with personal accounts can access the administration, and we apply other technical and organisational safeguards. No transmission over the internet is entirely without risk, however.
Your rights
Regarding your data, you have the right to:
- find out whether we process it and obtain a copy;
- have inaccurate data corrected or incomplete data completed;
- have it erased when there is no longer a basis for processing;
- request restriction of processing;
- object to processing based on legitimate interest;
- receive it in a structured, machine-readable format (portability), where applicable;
- withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent, without affecting earlier processing.
Send your request to info@sigmaprom.rs. We will reply without undue delay and within 30 days at the latest. If you believe the processing is unlawful, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection (Bulevar kralja Aleksandra 15, 11120 Belgrade, www.poverenik.rs).
Minors
The site is intended for business customers and adults. If you are under 15, please send us personal data only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
Changes to this policy
We may change this policy, for example when the site gains a new feature. The current version is always on this page, and the date of the latest change is shown at the top.
